Child hunger doesn’t only effect people in third-world countries, but it is happening everyday within our industry. Low-wage, hourly salon workers, people within their first 5 years and many others with professional beauty are working hard and just barley getting by.

We, The Hair Nerds, want to not only bring awareness to what is currently happing within our industry, but how it is effecting over 22 million children nation wide.

With the current closure of schools, salons and other low-wage hourly working positions (because there are many that work two service based jobs to get by), we want to make sure that we can help feed the littlest of Hair Nerds in these trying times.

No Kid Hungry posted a great article about how COVID-19 is creating a lot of hungry, tiny tummies out there.
