Since its humble beginnings in 1989, NAHA finalists and industry elite have brought this iconic photographic beauty competition to new heights year after year. NAHA continues to recognize the beauty industry’s most talented artists and advance the careers of stylists around the world. Nothing makes us happier than meeting artists we REALLY want to root for… Good people who love the industry, value education and aren’t afraid to put in the hard work.
What one word describes how you felt when you hit submit on your entry?
Every time I have submitted, there is a nervous pit in my stomach….something about putting your hard work in front of others to be judged makes me a little self conscious.
What advice would you give to someone wanting to enter competitions?
Take the time to build a solid plan/concept before you begin.
Biggest worry about the night? Is it what to wear or acceptance speech?
What to wear, absolutely.
Tell us your life story in 3 sentences.
I was raised riding horses in Utah, before I discovered the awesome possibilities of the beauty industry at age 17. I’ve been married, divorced, and become an uncle 22 times. I have traveled the world, both for work and pleasure, but never feel better than after I’ve been able to inspire another to be BIGger than they were yesterday.
If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?
I would probably do something in the health/fitness industry….I’m kinda a fitnut.
Describe the creative journey of your NAHA shoot in emojis.
