Aubrey Loots + Sonya Dove

We got the chance to stalk two of our favorite hair nerds in Atlanta! Aubrey Loots and Sonya Dove shared the stage together at the Hyatt in Buckhead, hosted by none-other than one of our favs Candy Shaw! They prepped their models with beautiful color and focused their time on sharing their styling and cutting techniques in a laid back, open forum class.

One of the most exciting things for us was seeing Sonya focus primarily on cutting! That is something that was “out of her element” on stage. Sonya showed various cutting techniques, from a long haired razor cut to a structured pixie with color inspired by the Aurora Borealis.

Aubrey shared his vast knowledge of color and styling, showing how to create texture without using heat tools as well as creating three dimensional braids with his trusty chop sticks in a packed out house.

Candy held a Q&A with both of them following the class leaving no question unanswered!
