What one word describes how you felt when you found out you were a finalist?
ECSTATIC!
What advice would you give to someone wanting to enter competitions?
Plan out your collection. Practice your looks with some extras before the shoot. When the day of the shoot arrives, you will feel prepared and the day should feel more calm with smooth sailing.
Beyond hair, what other creative outlets do you have?
Photography. I am pursuing classes to better understand the other side of the camera.
Tell us your life story in 3 sentences.
I am an adventure-seeking foodie and fashionable nerd. I love to travel with 15 countries under my belt thus far. I am easily inspired to be creative with a strong belief that hard works pays off.
If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?
I love all types of design. I would either be in interior design, fashion design, layout design, etc. You name it. It all interests me.
What was your biggest F-up with a client?
Even if I give a great haircut, if it is not what the client requested, then they won’t be happy. I have learned my lesson to have a thorough consultation and make sure we are always on the same page.
Real life advice to someone entering the world of cosmetology.
You will not become all-knowing overnight. Enjoy the journey and never stop learning!
