I left my heart in NYC

New York City has always been that place that feels like home as soon as you step out on the street and look up at the beautiful concret jungle that surrounds you. The energy of the city fills your body and soul, the buildings are like old friends and and the subway.. well, thats kinda like the creepy uncle that you have to love cause you’re related. We never pass on an opportunity to visit, even if it means maxing out credit cards to do so… and tears rush over us every single time the plane takes off and we have to say goodbye.

Dinner with #Hairbabies

One of our favorite things about attending the amazing education and events we get to go to is meeting the passionate and like-minded hairdressers that are a part of it… then wiggling our way into their hearts (and them into ours, cause duh), and becoming new best friends.

Our newest stalking victim has been Andrean Noir from R+co – we were able to get together for dinner with her and her cutest mini-me ever. A night full of picking her brain and learning all about her life/journey was a Hair Nerd’s dream.  Looking for new education?? We HIGHLY recommend anything Andrean is teaching!

Ted & Jason

Theres no such thing as a bad day when you’re with these two boys. When they said they were filming a new makeover segment for New York Live… we said “When & Where?!”. They surprised two ladies at the farmers market in union square and and took their looks from drab to FAB! If you didn’t catch it live on our stories, make sure to watch New York Live for the full segment.

#HairNerdDate

Making time for our #HairNerdBesties (new and old) is always important! We have been stalking Kelly Peach (@KellyPeachBeauty) for quite some time now and were finally able to have a #HairNerdDate in NYC. What did we do, you ask… crash Jen Atkins party at Wonderland Salon, of course! Its not a #Hairventure without a little stalking of our favs and running into people like Brandon Liberati and Allison McNamara.

Fashion Week

#hairshowhangovers are REAL! Aubrey Loots finds this out every year at fashion week and this year he keyed 12 shows… we seriously don’t know how he does it. BUT, with Jamie Pierce-Elwell by his side… we know who keeps him sane. We think if you have ever have any kind of want or desire to work fashion week… DO IT!! Every year, Aubrey has spots available to work along side him by taking the Wella Backstage Pass class to get on his team!
