As someone new entering the world of pro-beauty, what stereotypes did you have of hairdressers that you feel differently about now? What myths have been broken?
Being new to the cosmetology world can be a lot. I've embraced everything throughout my journey. I feel that it's a stereotype that most students aren't that good at hair or they make a lot of mistakes. People coming to a beauty school need to have more faith in the students. Since I've started school I've never ruined anyone's hair. If I wasn't sure how to do something I would just ask. I'm about to graduate but I feel that my skill level is very high for someone still in school.
What's one thing you would have told yourself on the first day of cosmetology school knowing what you know now?
I wish I could tell myself back then to be more confident and not to question my education/instincts.
Do you plan to use your platform to bring attention and awareness to the professional side of the beauty industry?
I feel that I'm very educated and take cosmetology seriously. I hate when people think just anyone can do hair. That's false. It takes skill and education to excel in the beauty industry. I hope with my platform I can show some amazing transformations that really get people noticing how much thought and skill it took.
Who is a stylists – dead or alive - you'd love to have dinner with and why?
Guy tang is amazing and I'd love to meet him and learn some of his skills.
What's Jades artistic style? What influences your work?
My style honestly isn't defined . I do bright bubbly blondes and then also do dark grungy styles. I like to explore and try new things. My style tends to change per client. I watch a lot of demos in person and online and when I see something awesome I want to recreate it my own way and put my own spin on things.

I'm in love with the bright color hair trends. I'm a color lover so anything bright catch's my attention.
