Competing in NAHA helps me to keep looking ahead in what’s happening in our industry. My goal is to stay ahead of the trends, not follow them.
Beyond hair, what other creative outlets do you have?
Cooking. Writing. Gardening.
Tell us your life story in 3 sentences.
I’ve been doing hair my entire adult life, since 1986 and I’ve done everything I’ve wanted to, Salon Owner, Platform Artist from New York IBS to Long Beach, educator, editorial stylist. and beauty school instructor. I’ve traveled all over doing hair and teaching and can’t think of anything else I would want to do with my life.
If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?
Taking a dirt nap

Losing the physical ability to work.
