Queer Beauty with Shawn Chaves

The coming out process isn’t just a one time happening for people within the queer community. Many of us have to go through a journey of coming out bit by bit, for reasons of their own.

Shawn coming out journey was a way to not only test the waters with his friends and family but also a way for him to recognize his own feelings and better understand them. When he finally said out loud that he was transgender, the screaming in his chest was finally silenced.

He wishes that he could tell his 15-year-old self how happy life can be and how amazing of a partner he has an a wonderful career set before him.
