So you think you can style?

Contests are an important part of the industry. They push your comfort zone and sometimes have really cool prizes. SalonMagazine.ca holds a contest every other month and give your work the change to be featured! If you don’t enter, you can’t win!

Every other month, we want to give you the chance to get your work featured in Salon Magazine via our So You Think You Can Style? hair photo competition.

HOW DO I ENTER?

Entry is open to Canadian residents who are bona-fide hairstylists. All you need is one image that you think fits with our chosen theme. Don’t worry—the image can be previously published, or entered in another competition! Read photo requirements here.

HOW ARE WINNERS CHOOSEN?

Winners are selected based on a 2-part scoring system: 50% is decided by the number of votes entrants get during the voting period, and the other 50% is awarded by a panel of judges, based on creativity, quality of work and interpetation of the theme. You can get your friends to vote for your image once a day until the voting period closes.

WHAT DO I WIN?

The best image is featured in an issue of Salon Magazine, SalonMagazine.ca and in a weekly e-newsletter. Runners up will receive an honourable mention on SalonMagazine.ca.
