World Championship Hair Battle
Enter or Mentor. It was something Fabio Sementilli preached and one of the last conversations we ever had with him. Competitions have always been something we have been super passionate about. When Dominique Lunn invited us to attend the World Championship Hair Battle, we were super excited.

What inspired the creation of the World Championship Hair Battle?
We created the WCHB to give our platform a fresh new concept. Our last hair battle was 2012! I stopped to focus on our magazine. 2020 we are coming back with fresh concepts, ideas, and mentorships to help participants gain more than just prizes.
Give us the general rundown of this competition…
The competition is open to all licensed hairdressers and students. We have a student and professional fantasy competition and the main event which features salons creating a broadway hair production. The judging system is made up of 2 categories:
1. Technical
Creativity of Style
Precision
Neatness
Appearance on model
2. Presentation
Creativity of Stage Presentation
Transformation of hair on stage
Overall appearance of theme
What can we expect at this event?
Our general layout is 2 featured designers releasing their summer collections, student & professional fantasy competition and then our main event… the hair battle.
What makes WCHB so special?
We are creating a diverse platform that will bring our industry together as one; while marketing participants that normally get overlooked in our industry and creating a open line for mentorship.
This platform showcases the participants creativity and styles that can’t be done on the everyday guest. The competition is all about the styles you dream about doing but never have a chance to in your salon.
You are also the founder of Hair-N-Motion magazine. What inspired you to create a publication?
I created the magazine because I was spending a lot of money on photo shoots but when the magazines would come out I only would have a high school size photo in certain publications (politics) so I decided to create my on magazine and my first issue had all of my work and my team’s work in it, lol. The rest is history!
