8 Awesome Brands We Found at ISSE '20

 

We love ISSE for the fact we get to see most all our friends in one place over the weekend, and for some of them, it’s the once a year hug we to give them. The other thing we love about it, besides the abundance of education everywhere, is the cool, new brands we get introduced too.

Through the chaos that is the show floor, we trek through it to seek out who’s new, who has something excited they just released and say hello to our long-time faves.

This year we found 8 new-to-us brands that we couldn’t keep a secret. Check them out, and we hope you think they’re cool too!

We Love Eyes

Fun Fact! Erin and Annie were both born with birth defects in their left eye… weird right. Erin is completely blind in her left eye and Annie is neurologically blind in hers.

So safe eye care products and products that go near our eyes have always been really important. That’s why we were so excited to find We Love Eyes. Dr. Gill said she was seeing so many patients with chronically uncomfortable contact lens wear and red, dry eyes.

Natural products have always been important to us both, but with family history of Brest Cancer and an allergy to most OTC deodorants, Annie was pretty excited to be able to try a new natural deodorant with ingredients she could pronounce. We don’t think of our underarms as anything more then where sweat and BO come from, but it’s an entry point to some of the most important parts of your internal system and we need to be careful what we put there. We also love the story behind the brand as well…

What a fun, easy way to add a little color to your hair, or touch-up those roots you don’t have time to color. A dry powder that doubles as dry shampoo with a built in brush for easy application and colors that actually show up on any color hair. We saw it applied, the fashion colors are bright and vivid even on the darkest of hair!

This is a brand we actually sought out because Erin’s niece, Charlotte (5y/o) called in despair when her purple streak washed out more quickly then her 5 year old mind thought it should. Determined to save the day, we discovered Rootflage.

HAIR Los Angeles

Talk about a brand that speaks directly to our nerdy, alternative little souls. HAIR Los Angeles is taking a page out of their own book and creating something for the hairdresser who wants to have a little fun. These aprons are the most fun thing we have ever seen and want to add them into our everyday look.

Its not just aprons though!! They also make capes that are beautiful and photographic and have glitters of all colors in ready-to-apply jars.

Marco Pelusi

Ok.. so we’ve actually known Marco for years, but this was our first real introduction to his brand and education. Marco’s tenure as a professional colorist has allowed him the opportunity to test hundreds of products over the years. We love when we see our friends develop product lines… but love even more when they’re backing it with education and hands-on training. It’s not just about selling products, it’s about being amazing hairdressers.
