Beacon Competition

Beacon is a part of PBA Beauty Week which is held in cooperation the North American Hairstyling Awards and Cosmoprof North America at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

Beacon provides the nation's most promising cosmetology students with education and opportunities to network with the industry's highest profile salon owners and stylists during PBA Beauty Week, held each July in Las Vegas. Beacon students attend specialized classes with the biggest names in the industry, get up close and personal with NAHA finalists and get a firm understanding of the business of beauty.

PBA Symposium - The cornerstone of PBA Beauty Week, PBA Symposium is the industry's most distinguished educational event welcoming top professionals from all industry sectors - salon/spa owners and managers, manufacturers and distributors. Beacon students sit side by side with these professionals during general sessions and attend specially designed Beacon breakout sessions to learn valuable skills in resume writing, interviewing and creating a killer portfolio. Beacon sessions also give students insight on what it takes to become an entrepreneur, including leadership skills, marketing and business strategy, business operations and more.

North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) - Held alongside PBA Symposium at PBA Beauty Week, NAHA is the most prestigious hairstyling competition in North America! Beacon students rub elbows with beauty's most celebrated artists and enjoy VIP seating during the star-studded Awards Ceremony.

Cosmoprof North America - Held in cooperation with PBA Beauty Week, Cosmoprof North America is the biggest international business-to-business beauty trade show event in the country. Students enjoy a guided tour through this expansive trade show to meet beauty business leaders and learn the role global distributors and manufacturers play in the industry.
