Since its humble beginnings in 1989, NAHA finalists and industry elite have brought this iconic photographic beauty competition to new heights year after year. NAHA continues to recognize the beauty industry’s most talented artists and advance the careers of stylists around the world. Nothing makes us happier than meeting artists we REALLY want to root for… Good people who love the industry, value education and aren’t afraid to put in the hard work

How does competing help you as an artist?

As an artist competing pushes me to do my most creative work but at the same time i learn about myself and go beyond my imagination.

Beyond hair, what other creative outlets do you have?

As much as I love hair, I am also very into makeup and styling clothing. I really wanted to be well rounded and be a triple threat.

Describe yourself in 5 words.

I’d definitely have to describe myself as personable, witty, self sufficient, trendy, and comedic.

What terrible hair styles have you personally had over the years?

Oh my gosh my favorite horrible hair would have to be when I was in middle school going into high school. Just imagine Dragon Ball Z hair, long spikes set with a whole can of hairspray. I’ve also had man bangs but we won’t get into that lol.

Whats your biggest fear in life or your career?

I feel like this career is make or break. Either you have it or you don’t so I’m very afraid of running out of it one day.

Whats the best advice you’ve ever been given?

I’d have to say that I’ve been given amazing advice from so many artists. My favorite moment was when Celebrity makeup artist Angel Merino told me “I think you need to figure out what you want In life and do it.”

It was pretty straight forward but set my mind to never give up!

I knew i was a Hair Nerd when..

I KNEW I was a Hair Nerd when I was little. It started off with Barbies, I grew up with nothing but girls so that’s all I ever had to do. As soon as I felt the hair and realized I could turn it into anything, I was in.
