How does competing help you as an artist?
As a makeup artist, it helps me to stay creative, to advertise my skills, and to stand out in this pool of so many talented artist.
What was your biggest F-up with a client?
I don’t think I’ve ever had a big F-up with a client.
What advice would you give to someone wanting to enter competitions?
Always present your best self. Don’t look at it as a competition, but as a way to advance your talent to a new audience.
Whats your biggest fear in life or your career?
Not being able to do it anymore. I love being a makeup artist, being creative and utilizing my makeup skill to make others feel beautiful.
Beyond makeup, what other creative outlets do you have?
I love to draw.
Real life advice to someone entering the world of cosmetology…
Be prepared. Make a list of goals you want to achieve. Use every opportunity and stay true to your craft. Most important, love what you’re doing.
