Competing in competitions is incredible experience for students… We think all students should take the leap!
North American Trend Vision Awards is at the heart and soul of what we live for… Every year we wait to see the Top 25 semi-finalists and then the finalists leading their models down the runway. We can’t help but get excited as we think back to our very first NATVA and how it helped shape our futures.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years, I would like to be working as an educator and also working for a salon or even owning my own salon.
How does competing help you as an artist?
It has helped me learn how to deal with different situations and also get out of my comfort zone.
What one word describes how you felt when you found out you were a finalist?
Ecstatic. I couldn’t believe I did it. I will always be grateful for such a great experience
What’s one thing you would have told yourself on the first day of cosmetology school knowing what you know now?
I would tell myself that everything gets easier to do. Also to never stop learning.
What do you think the biggest struggle stylists are experiencing in the industry today?
Not understanding sometimes what the client wants. The client could explain what they want but that might not be what they really meant.
Something most people don’t know about you.
I’m actually very shy.
What traumatic hairstyle have you been guilty of rocking?
The natural curly hair that looks like a lion’s mane.
